Job Description:
Trauma Program Department :Provides leadership and support for the implementation of strategic and operational trauma plans and initiatives with the responsibility to maintain and/or improve the quality of patient care in both a leadership and clinical capacity. Ensure trauma care for individual patients of all ages is delivered according to standards in an efficient, cost-effective manner. Builds effective liaison relationships with surgical specialties, emergency medicine, other medical specialties, the trauma program, and the community to maximize market share and enhance overall awareness of Essentia Health Fargo as a trauma center. Supervises the trauma registry and other support staff and helps to oversee the trauma provider practice, partnering with the trauma medical director to lead the team. Responsible for the overall programmatic oversight of the trauma patients, including initial screening and brief intervention. Leads injury prevention programs that focus on common mechanisms of injury pertinent to the local population.Want more jobs like this?

Education Qualifications:
- Required Qualifications: 3 years of nursing healthcare experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
This position will do the following:
- Review clinical documentation,
- Abstract key information and enter that information into the trauma registry. This registry data is used to perform continuous quality improvement.
- May also be asked to participate in education and outreach activities that the trauma service participates in as a team.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Current nursing license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of North Dakota upon hire
- Ability to obtain RN License in MN required within 3 months of hire
