Sr. C++ Software Development Engineer

Overview

Bring your passion for software development to help our users author, visualize, and share their geospatial data to our ever-expanding cloud and on-premise server technologies. Come join our talented team that is working on our flagship products, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise. This team is responsible for building cutting-edge, highly scalable, and reliable distributed software that allows our users to author, visualize, and share their maps as services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ArcGIS Pro desktop/ Server functionality that allows our users to author, share, and consume maps as services
  • Build and maintain C++ libraries that handle internet communication in Pro and Server efficiently and keep them up to date with security compliance
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and address issues to ensure quality software
  • Identify and address scalability and efficiency issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience and fluency in C++/C#
  • Background in computer networks, internet protocols and network security
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledgeable in client/server architecture and web technologies
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP service architectures
  • Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, or related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Exposure to working with databases
  • Knowledge of Esri software, GIS, or other mapping/graphics software
  • Prior working experience with GIS analysis
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
  • Knowledgeable in internet communication protocols
  • Experience in C#/WPF
  • Master's in computer science, engineering, or related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$114,400 - $187,200 USD
