Facilities Technician

Redlands, CA

Overview

Our growing company needs a responsible individual to inspect, maintain, and have a general understanding of repairing and maintaining multiple buildings infrastructure. The successful candidate will help maintain Esri' s facility operations while remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the buildings utilizing work order related software
  • Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
  • Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
  • Implement, with Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
  • Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings
  • Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
  • Act in a professional and courteous manner with occupants, co-workers, vendors, and more
  • Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience and technical training
  • 24 hour availability for emergencies and as part of an on-call rotation and willingness to work overtime on special projects
  • Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations
  • Be able to take direction and follow instructions
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
  • Possess basic computer skills, learn new job-related software and have basic aptitude for mathematics
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of tools, proper usage and must be safety conscious
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical environments including on ladders, man-lifts, and more
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all work locations including field locations, facilities shop, and break room
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to safe working practices as defined by industry and regulatory standards
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written with all levels of the campus community and business contacts
  • High school graduate or GED required

Recommended Qualifications

  • Technical school training in maintenance related courses are preferred
  • Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer specifications and written operational procedures

$24 - $34 USD
