DevSecOps Engineer II - SaaS

Overview

As a DevSecOps Engineer for the world's largest geospatial Software as a Service offering, you will lead the implementation and support operations for advancing security principles, including continuous compliance, continuous risk assessment, data encryption, monitoring, and alerting. We're looking for a smart, security-focused engineer to join our Software Security & Privacy team to help push the boundaries of security while putting their mark on Esri's next-gen SaaS.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and implement solutions to address infrastructure platform and SaaS security requirements
  • Work closely with DevOps team to engineer and implement cloud security controls
  • Build, test, and maintain infrastructure and tools for software development and release
  • Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems [Amazon AWS & Azure]
  • Research and recommend use of ML, AI, and data analytic services to improve security of system
  • Provide AWS and Azure Infrastructure and Systems Administration functions
  • Contribute to the creation of system support documents and operational procedures

Requirements

  • 2+ years of DevOps Engineering experience; experience working in a SaaS environment
  • Experience with DevOps tools and concepts such as writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Ability to perform Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) via modern systems, such as GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
  • Linux Fundamentals and Scripting along with Programming Languages
  • Experience working with and automating web APIs
  • Ability to define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS & Azure
  • Familiarity using application security validations tools for pentesting, component analysis, static analysis, and/or dynamic analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of security risk frameworks (OWASP Top 10, SAN 25, BSIMM)
  • Experience with service mesh implementation, WAF implementation, threat modelling, container security
  • Experience in integrating Test Automation into CI/CD pipelines, like Selenium
  • Working knowledge of Configuration Management tools, such as Chef; Configuration-as-Code, such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Good collaboration, communication, presentation skills, and social skills
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Familiarity with Esri software
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Information security or technical certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, GIAC, GSE, CEH, OSCP is desirable

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$81,120 - $141,440 USD
