Senior Manager, Product Management Learning & Development

Job Summary

The senior manager of learning products is responsible for building a strategy for a core set of learning products that are consumed by the Equinix technical staff who build and operate over 260 data centers world-wide. This product focused role requires strong product and project management for determining the set of educational tools, methods, and metrics that will enable our technicians and engineers to quickly learn how to safely conduct their work. Working closely with key business leaders and executive management, learning objectives will be determined that map directly to operational objectives which can be measured and used to improve the overall productivity of the workforce. You will work closely with peers in learning technology and learning design and delivery to prioritize which products to build and in what sequence. You will be responsible for optimization of end-to-end business processes that align with the overall organizational strategy focused on new hire onboarding, career development, and optimization of workforce utilization. You will be a change agent and implement new methods of work and introduce new technologies that can be used internally to create and consume our learning assets. Your use of agile methodologies will help ensure high quality and on time delivery of learning products and you will continuously analyze product metrics and learner assessments to understand required adjustments and innovations to our product roadmap including new learning methodologies and technologies including artificial intelligence based learning models.

Responsibilities

  • Able to create and implement a learning product strategy
  • Works well in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
  • Build strong external relations with industry-leading peer companies on standard process sharing
  • Ability to identify third party software tools, assess tools for fit, negotiate with vendors, and implement technology into existing environments
  • Ability to make connections between disparate inputs that are connected
  • Understanding the downstream implications of changes
  • Act as a "hub," connecting silos and understanding complex business and business processes
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into non-technical language for the appropriate audience and help leaders make appropriate trade-offs on behalf of the business
  • A keen eye for optimal designs and experiences - fanatical devotion to reducing friction in customer experiences and business processes
  • Proven track record of leading global multi-functional teams to implement business platforms and applications and delivering aggressive objectives
  • Create a learning product team keen to experiment, measure, react, and keep moving forward; an organization that acts is data-driven and willing to experiment quickly and learn from mistakes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in learning and development, business administration, computer science, information systems or related field
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based learning tools and their implementation in large organizations for the purposes of generating learning content on demand
  • 15 or more years of total experience in IT in the technology-based industry, including five to seven years of progressively increasing leadership responsibilities
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including managing multiple, large, multi-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level leaders and key partners
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in one or more of these key functional domains: product management, product development, business development, business architecture, engineering, and product management, including industry-leading experience in leading business application platforms
  • Preferred experience in understanding the relationship of applications and platforms to infrastructure and operations

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
