Senior Business System Analyst

Job Summary

As Manager of Business Systems in the Corporate application division, you would be working on some of our latest ventures to Support and Enhance cutting-edge SaaS business applications. Manages a team of BSAs and is accountable for the team's performance and results. Sets team objectives, priorities, and plans. May assign work to various team members. Reports the status of projects or issues to upper management. Contributes input to budget planning. Responsible for hiring, developing his teams, and managing business stakeholder relationships. This position acts as a critical liaison between the company's financial functions including Corporate Controllership, Regional Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Business Assurance, and the company's IT organization.

Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management

  • Responsible for driving and influencing senior leadership decision-making
  • Can effectively identify appropriate stakeholders
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
  • Ability to drive conflict resolution between stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams
  • Sets and influences stakeholder expectations related to technology initiatives
  • Responsible for transparent communication to stakeholders related to technology initiatives

Management Reporting

  • Participates in monthly operational reviews of operational performance and roadmap status
  • Executes against operational KPIs
  • Reviews, identify areas for improvement and makes recommendations to leadership

Resource and Budget Management

  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plans that are agreed upon by upper management
  • Works closely with Project Managers to track resource allocation and utilization for larger projects
  • Requests approvals for additional expenses outside of the approved budget/headcount
  • Communicates budget estimates for cross-functional projects/programs, and ensures teams execute assigned projects within approved budgets
  • Manages and/or escalates issues, as needed

Project/Program Management

  • Responsible for ensuring projects deliver on time and budget by holding contributors accountable for delivering on project milestones and deliverables
  • Responsible for escalating issues and potential roadblocks to management, including making recommendations to address and resolve
  • Expected to resolve most issues to closure
  • Responsible for identifying and mitigating project execution risks
  • Guide and /or revise the project plan to ensure it completely captures all activities and eliminates duplicative efforts
  • Streamlines resources and activities and identifies opportunities to automate tasks

People Management

  • Provides leadership and direction to the team
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of direct reports and may be larger or multiple teams.
  • Responsible for succession planning
  • Responsible for performance management of team members, including disciplinary actions and hire/fire decisions/ recommendations
  • Responsible for talent development, including quarterly conversations, career pathways conversations, and individual development/growth plans
  • Models the Equinix Culture and Values

Review/Approvals/Escalations/Issues Resolution

  • Monitors and manages support and operational metrics and trends for management areas
  • Identifies and prioritizes areas for optimization
  • The manager is responsible for the identification of significantly impactful/high-risk issues, appropriate prioritization, resource assignment and ownership, and overseeing processes through the closure of issues while ensuring appropriate escalation and visibility to senior management teams
  • For more complex and higher risk issues, the manager will draft and support reviews Senior Leadership review cycles

Country/Regional Management

  • Manages a team of local technology professionals in a given country/region
  • Executes against approved initiatives
  • Manages technology and/or human resources in a single location, being familiar with local language, law, and regulations as needed
  • Partners with global technology owners and regional stakeholders to implement and maintain global technology standards
  • Manages relationships with regional/functional stakeholders
  • Defines presents, and obtains leadership approval for local execution strategy, aligned with global standards

Qualifications

  • Worked as IT Lead, IT Manager, Partner, Client Manager, Support Manager, or Manager related to Oracle ERP Applications.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and configuring for ERP application implementation and maintenance
  • Worked in a couple of other Oracle fusion ERP application modules like GL, AP, AR, FA, PPM, and CC
  • Have in-depth finance functional knowledge to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's / Master's in Engineering, Accounting or Business preferred
  • Expertise in implementing and supporting financial systems
  • Expertise in implementing and supporting Oracle ERP Cloud
  • 8+ years of experience working within the finance and accounting organization of a large multinational company
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally if needed
