Principal Boomi Architect

Job Summary

As a Boomi Integration Platform Architect, you will be key in delivering the integration platform that connects applications and data across cloud and on-premises environments. You will also use your expertise with Boomi connectors, recipes, templates, and best practices to design and implement integration workflows that meet business requirements and ensure high quality and performance.

We seek a principal integration platform architect to lead Equinix's design and implementation of enterprise integration platform solutions. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and build of the core integration platform, selecting the appropriate technologies and solutions and overseeing the development and deployment of integration services. You will also work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment of integration solutions with business objectives and IT strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deliver enterprise Integration platform on Boomi iPaaS that enables developers and citizen integrators to build solutions that connect applications and data across the enterprise.
  • Ensure high quality and performance of integration processes on the platform by following Boomi standards and best practices.
  • Define the best practices and standards for software design and build, platform governance, observability and monitoring, and automation.
  • Build a high-quality platform that meets software engineering performance, security, and resiliency standards.
  • Collaborate with other developers, enterprise architects, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of platform engineers to deliver high-quality integration solutions.
  • Define, Document, and maintain the integration services catalog and standards for internal and external use.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the performance and availability of integration platforms and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and provide technical support as needed
  • Hands-on Design, Coding, Testing & Support of Software applications & module(s)
  • Work in a Globally Distributed Development team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Interact with stakeholder(s) to understand and document the product feature(s).
  • Help Integrate software product(s) with other systems, test interfaces, and manage version control.
  • Maintain and contribute to the user and developer documentation.
  • Solve bugs, troubleshoot, and interact with the internal developer community.
  • Assist in analyzing and evaluating new technologies to meet demand for product roadmap and technology platform goals.
  • Help in the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and platforms.
  • Advocate and follow best design and development practices adhering to Engineering standards.
  • Participate in the Design and peer Code Review process.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a technical architect delivering enterprise integration platform solutions using Boomi iPaaS.
  • Solid foundations in Computer systems, data structure, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Solid understanding of Cloud-native principles and their implementation (including Microservices, Containers, DevOps, and Security)
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns, standards, and best practices
  • Experience with APIs, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST etc.
  • Experience with various application domains such as Salesforce, Workday, AWS, ServiceNow etc.
  • Experience with hybrid deployment models
  • Experience with data management, governance, and quality
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • 3+ years of hands-on programming experience in building real-world systems with at least one of the languages - JavaScript / Java / Go
  • 3+ years of experience in hands-on design & development of programming interfaces (APIs)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in SQL & NO-SQL database design & development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
