Operations Compliance Analyst

Responsible for developing and supporting specialist EHSQ functions focused on compliance with Equinix Australia's Sustainability programs including, but not limited to, ISO14001 ,45001 ,90001 ,50001 NGERs, NABERs, and LEED. As secondary support function the role will also support associated Operational compliance activity across the Security, Safety, Environment and Sustainability portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and supports the rollout of the compliance program providing assurance against sustainability regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
  • Develops the required training package, aligned with Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates program of work required to enhance sustainability controls at all AU IBX following a review of facilities in line with the AU regulations, ISO standards and Organizational goals.
  • Supports the business continuity processes and procedures identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Remains conversant with Australian Federal, State and Territory EHS standards
  • Works with Cross Functional team to ensure national and international best practice regulation is incorporated in the overall EHS management system.
  • Supports the effective implementation of the safety management system security assurance (
  • Supports sales and customer teams in promoting sustainably initiatives.
  • Maintain EHS related documents including manuals, standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review regional and global documentation in line with Australian standards and update when necessary.
  • Attend industry and Government forums related to sustainability and EHS programs.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of Training and Awareness programs across the Australian business groups.
  • Ensure compliance reporting requirements are implemented and maintained.
  • Interact with clients and stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Provide proactive and effective leadership to all site staff that enables a cohesive and positive working environment and ensures a high level of staff satisfaction.
  • Acknowledge, advise, administer, and enforce all Equinix EHS Policies
  • Assist in attaining and maintaining of other standards, accreditations or certifications as adopted for use by Equinix Australia.
  • Review document contents relating to Information and Physical Security

Qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Ability to attain and maintain Australian National Security clearance of NV1 or above.
  • Implementor or Auditor experience associated with standards, especially ISO14001, ISO50001 and ISO90001
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to deal with stakeholders in all business units.
  • High level of communication both verbal and written
  • Experience in developing and delivering EHS and security training programs.
  • Experience in interpreting legislation and developing commensurate documentation that ensure compliance.
  • Experience in the development and on-going maintenance of a risk-based management system
  • Certified Implementer or Lead Auditor associated with security and compliance disciplines and standards.
  • Experience in Corporate EHS or Compliance and ideally working across APAC Region
