Job Summary
The Digital Experience team at Equinix builds software platforms and architecture for our customers, who experience Equinix products and service offerings through our customer portal and API. You will build and lead one or more engineering squads, serving as a hands-on technical mentor and strategic leader for a diverse and innovative engineering team. We seek a leader who can hire, manage, mentor, and develop our engineering team in India. You leverage your leadership experience and tech skills to lead the team in delivering against specific goals/OKRs defined for the products.
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience managing teams of engineers and managers
- Previously managed 5+ engineers and have been responsible for their career growth.
- Minimum of 8 years of full-stack expertise in cloud-based application development on a microservice architecture, with in-depth knowledge of Java, NodeJS and React
- Ability to attract, develop, and keep high-quality multi-disciplinary teams
- Have a track record of designing, developing, and implementing complex, low-latency web services with a large consumer base.
- Experience leading teams of engineers and driving large-scale, mission-critical projects and products to succeed in collaboration with product, design, and business teams.
- Ability to attract, develop, and keep high-quality multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise on usage of AI assistants to develop business applications
- Experience with using AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot/Cursor

- Build best-in-class systems with great engineering metrics for delivery, quality, availability, defect failure rate and major incidents
- Attract, retain, engage, and develop your squad with situational leadership
- Align the team to company/product OKRs
- Perform quarterly performance reviews for the team
- Set and refine the engineering vision for your team in collaboration with other leaders and product management.
- Set a strong engineering culture with a focus on engineering fundamentals and architecture to scale
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Leads, and Engineering Managers to define and promote operational excellence
- Align on tech debt management with product managers.
