The Team and the Role

The UK Global Technical Sales Team (UK GTST) supports organisations navigating through their digital transformation journey, helping them modernising their infrastructure, delivering premium experiences and transforming people's lives.

The Digital Technical Specialist (DTS) is a Technical Pre-sales function that works to help Equinix clients and prospects understand, adopt and use Equinix's portfolio of Digital products on the Equinix Platform.

In this role you will:

  • Help customer Head Quartered in the UK achieve their goals through Equinix's Digital value proposition
  • Use your knowledge of techniques (e.g. producing designs of complex IT systems, requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration)
  • Work closely with your Global Solution Architect and other departments such as Sales Engineering, Sales, Channel, Digital Services Sales Team

The role in few points

  • Provide technical support on the Equinix Digital product portfolio to the Sales and Channel community
  • Understanding of Software-Defined Infrastructure, including Bare-Metal-as-a-Service, containerisation, storage technologies, cloud services, virtualisation, and complex networking architectures.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in assigned accounts, both active and prospects
  • Identifies customer's challenges and technical requirements and links them to business requirements
  • Leading Equinix Digital technical conversations & POCs with customers and Partners across the whole sales cycle, involving relevant internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with global counterparts in order to maximise efforts in Global Accounts & Digital selling motions
  • Being a trusted technical advisor to our customers and partners
