Job Summary

In this individual contributor leadership role, you will coordinate and deliver training for operations personnel in a 24/7/365 critical facility environment. Key Responsibilities

Lab Management

  • Develop and maintain documentation for lab exercises and configurations
  • Maintain and configure data center training lab equipment to include cooling and power infrastructure, networking hardware, and servers
  • Ensure lab availability, functionality, and safety for training sessions
  • Manage lab inventory, procurement, and maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, replacements, or new technology acquisitions
  • Implement upgrades and technology refresh to align with current data center trends
  • Manage all projects associated with the lab environment to include initial build out and expansion as well as all associated budgeting requirements
  • Track lab usage, performance, and collect feedback to improve lab functionality and user experience

Internal Training Programs

  • Develop and facilitate training for Equinix Customer Operations and Critical Facilities professionals
  • Monitor training outcomes and adjust programs to improve effectiveness
  • Support cross functional teams in integrating training into broader data center operations
  • Coordinate and deliver training to operations personnel in onsite and virtual settings
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on content creation
  • Technical content creation including training videos, documentation
  • External Training Requirements
  • Assess external training needs for employees to align with organizational goals
  • Develop and manage a budget to encompass all external training requirements
  • Coordinate with external training providers to deliver certifications and compliance training
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards through training initiatives

Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring and training skilled professionals in a 24/7/365 critical facility environment
  • Extensive knowledge in network and equipment platforms, systems, and circuits
  • Extensive knowledge of MEP systems used throughout a data center environment
  • Focus on training based on standard operating procedures
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to translate technical information into content that can be understood at many different levels
  • Previous experience in a Data Center or Critical facility environment
  • Passion for developing technical and interpersonal skills of team members
  • Understanding of adult/professional learning theory
  • Proficiency in Power App is a plus
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability
  • Bachelors preferred
