Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Electrician Journeyman with strong project management experience in critical facilities. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of facility infrastructure maintenance, vendor management, and electrical systems operations. They must be computer-savvy, proficient in Excel, Teams, and SharePoint, and capable of overseeing and managing complex electrical projects.
Responsibilities
Facility / Infrastructure Maintenance
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility components with a focus on critical infrastructure
- Conduct complex electrical repairs, installations, and inspections to maintain facility efficiency
- Oversee energy efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
- Monitor and resolve Building Monitoring System (BMS) alarms, applying judgment to troubleshoot system issues
- Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems with an understanding of facility-wide protocols
- Supervise and support critical infrastructure operations, ensuring optimal functionality
Vendor Management & Oversight
- Approve and oversee vendor maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with vendors to update technical files and ensure facility builds remain current
- Review and validate the work completed by external service providers
Site Administration & Incident Response
- Maintain detailed site logs for permits, including Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and documentation
- Identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and recommend mitigation strategies
- Respond to electrical and facility incidents, resolving complex issues and minimizing downtime
- Follow structured operating procedures to support on-site administration and troubleshooting
Project Management & Operations
- Oversee electrical infrastructure projects from planning to completion
- Execute circuit installations and ensure quality control
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment and facility technology
- Lead or support minor modifications to mechanical, electrical, and specialized systems as needed
Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Work alongside facility teams to resolve infrastructure challenges efficiently
- Mentor junior staff on facility maintenance best practices
- Assess and communicate inventory needs to maintain stock levels of critical parts and equipment
- Recommend infrastructure upgrades and process improvements
Qualifications
- Licensed Electrician Journeyman with project management experience in critical facilities preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure maintenance and vendor coordination
- Proficiency in operating software: Excel, Teams, SharePoint
- PMP Certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Hands-on expertise in facility operations, not just cable pulling
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - DC22 Washington DC : 67,000 - 101,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
