Job Summary

Partners with relevant functional and technical teams to support Oracle cloud applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as the support of those applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to users of Oracle Cloud ERP
  • Responding to help desk queries
  • Providing one-on-one support, explanations, and guidance to users regarding finance operations
  • Triaging data issues, process issues, and user errors before escalating to IT
  • Performs financial systems maintenance (e.g., Chart of Accounts, Revaluation rules, open/close periods, alternate reporting hierarchies, etc.)
  • Schedules system processes
  • Troubleshoots interface/import file issues
  • Monitor inbound/outbound interfaces for data issues, ensuring system synchronization
  • Maintain and set up globally consistent standard reports and provide ad-hoc reporting guidance
  • Liaise with IT and business users to define and prioritize business-related issues associated with systems
  • Use a broad understanding of business and systems to identify possible business issues related to system designs and evaluate enhancement requests from users
  • Partner with other system owners to ensure data quality, timing, and financial reporting impacts are fully understood
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing for new system or enhancement releases. This involves assistance with the creation of test cases and follow-up to ensure users complete testing per the schedule

Documentation

  • Follows guidelines and templates relevant to a particular technology stack to produce the necessary project artifacts

Testing & Test Design

  • Owns specific modules in the application and develops test cases based on requirements and technical design
  • Defines test strategy and execution approach to test specific modules of an application
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and obtains relevant signoffs
  • Clarifies defects, triage, and coordinates resolution with engineering teams

System Configurations

  • Develops mastery in configurations of specific module/modules of an application
  • Brings in best practices by keeping up-to-date with the technology and vendor products
  • Documents configurations for future use and training

Day to Day Support (Production Support)

  • Supports first level resources
  • Triages and troubleshoots issues
  • Works with various functions within GTS to ensure RCA is complete and SLAs are met

Training and Change Management

  • Works directly with functional SMEs and management teams to coordinate SME training requirements and execution
  • Communicates status against key support issues
  • Provides status against plans and escalates issues

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in analytics
  • Bachelor's in Information Systems, Business or related field, cross-functional
  • Academic background in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, IT, or related fields
  • Extensive years of experience working within the finance and accounting organization of a Fortune 1000 company
  • Worked on Oracle Cloud applications like Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Purchasing and
  • Exposure to the Finance process
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand and assimilate new ideas and manage change
  • Willingness to aggressively set and achieve goals with a minimum of direction
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills combined with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and some technical accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud ERP
  • 5 years' experience in multinational companies
