Job Description

The Media Quality department is responsible for ensuring a safe, equitable and trusted advertising marketplace. This role will focus on deep investigations of internet traffic along with tool development to detect issues with brand safety, viewability, and non-human traffic. You will work with ad verification companies, as well internal cross-teams including Decision Sciences, Analytics Operations, Engineering, Product and Media teams to resolve issues as well as develop tools and reporting for optimal performance. The Media Quality team requires someone who is highly motivated with strong analytical, data mining, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a thirst for data.

  • Perform periodic tests and audits, create new and maintain existing targeting channels, assist cross-functional teams with targeting recommendations
  • Use in-house tools and SQL queries to proactively identify and research non-human traffic patterns
  • Build data visualizations using Excel, Tableau, R, and/or in-house tools
  • Perform daily inventory audits of sites and apps.
  • Respond to and investigate escalations from cross-functional teams on online advertising behaviors.
  • Work closely with the Engineering and Product teams to develop new and enhance existing products and tools
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics degrees are preferable or related experience in these areas
  • Experience with SQL a must
  • Experience with Python, R, Visual Basic and/or Tableau a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the Online Publishing or Advertising industry (Web Analytics, Ad Network, Web Publisher, Ad Agency)
  • You process a functional understanding of different malware, adware, spam, phishing, online fraud, replication methods, indicators, safeguards and potential effects
  • Proven ability to learn and master new computer systems and applications with minimal instruction
  • Desire to learn new technologies
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, prioritize, and apply critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • It's a walk in the park when it comes to understanding HTTP protocol with the ability to debug web pages using tools such as Fiddler, WireShark, Chrome Developer tools or Firebug
  • Strong ability to reverse engineer and/or develop solutions using JavaScript, PHP, CSS, HTML or other emerging technologies used to creatively generate fraud
