Job Description

The Analytic Consulting Group partners with both internal and external clients, and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision making. The Manager, Statistics is responsible for designing, planning, and managing statistical projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and manage statistical projects from start to finish
  • Serve as the statistics lead on projects employing various data analysis techniques and statistical methodologies such as regression analysis (both linear and non-linear), cluster analysis, CHAID, factor analysis/principal component analysis, time series, survival models, experimental designs using SAS and other statistical software
  • Ensure the timeliness, quality, and statistical validity of all analyses, output, and presentations
  • Provide strategic technical direction to cross-functional resources and less-experienced peers
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Monitor project progress relative to timeline and scope

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, economics, mathematics, marketing analytics) or significant relevant coursework
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Mastery of various statistical methodologies such as regression analysis (both linear and non-linear), cluster analysis, CHAID, factor analysis/principal component analysis, time series, survival models, experimental designs using SAS and other statistical software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAS/SQL programming
  • Mastery of MS Office; including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in at least one open-source statistical programs like R, Python and KNime
  • Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Acute attention to detail (QA/QC)
  • Effective organization and project and time management skills
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint high efficiency)
  • Knowledge of: Tableau and other data visualization tools, Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, Microsoft Office
  • Pharma background is a plus
