We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DBA & Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team for a project focused on cloud migration and database administration.
In this role, you will lead DB clusters' planning, installation, configuration and management, ensuring optimal performance and availability. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, conducting stress tests, and troubleshooting database issues.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Kyrgyzstan.
What You'll Do
- Plan, install, and configure DB clusters, including data sizing estimation and identifying hardware requirements
- Monitor cluster availability and performance using tools
- Export data into different data formats, backup and restore data to safeguard the system against potential failures
- Conduct stress tests and interpret performance results
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and troubleshoot issues with databases
- Mentor a team of DBA analysts and cloud migration specialists

- 3+ years of experience in database administration and cloud migration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong knowledge of SQL architecture, processes, and tuning for optimal performance
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting databases, including Oracle RDBMS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Amazon DynamoDB, MySQL, MariaDB and Apache Cassandra
- Proficient knowledge of Linux
- B2+ English level, both written and spoken
- Understanding of basic DWH principles
- Background in Python/Java/Scala/Batch
- Familiarity with basic CI/CD principles
