Senior Data Virtualization Engineer

Are you a seasoned Data professional skilled in Databricks and Denodo? Join our team as a Senior Data Virtualization Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of an exciting project in the Client's Asset Management division. Leverage your expertise in data virtualization, storage, processing, and streaming data at scale to develop software services utilizing deep data virtualization, AI, and Azure Cloud Services.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw.

What You'll Do

• Engineer solutions focused on data virtualization, distributed processing, and cloud-based large data storage architecture
• Create and implement highly scalable and reliable data distribution solutions using Python, Spark, & open-source technologies to deliver data to business components
• Work with ADLS, Databricks, Kafka, Denodo, data modeling, data replication, clustering, SQL Query patterns, and indexing for handling large datasets
• Demonstrate experience with Python and data access (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, etc.), machine learning (TensorFlow, etc.), and AI libraries (Chat GTP, etc.)

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing large-scale applications using data virtualization and/or data streaming technologies
• Experience with cloud-based data virtualization and data delivery technologies, including tools like Azure Databricks
• Proven Python programming skills (or .NET, C#, Java in case of no hands-on experience in Python)
• Know-how to apply standards, methods, techniques, and templates as defined by our SDLC, including code control, code inspection, and code deployment
• Experience in designing, planning, and delivering solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Experience in working with solution architects & business analysts to define implementation design & coding of the assigned modules/responsibilities with the highest quality (bug-free)
• Experience in determining technical approaches to be used and defining the appropriate methodologies
• Capability of working in a collaborative, multi-site environment to support rapid development and delivery of results and capabilities (i.e., Agile SDLC)
• Ability to produce secure and clean code that is stable, operational, consistent, and well-performing
