• Provide daily support for virtualization infrastructure focusing on the platform, hypervisors, and not guests/instances/apps
• Ensure all supported environments are monitored and documented, including troubleshooting tips, system diagrams, and topology
• Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of new projects to ensure solutions are high performing and available
• Work closely with other teams to provide resources required to support applications and manage capacity and availability
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues, manage new technologies, and participate in the evaluation and deployment of new technologies

• A Bachelor's Degree in CS or IT or 4 years of equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience configuring and managing Linux systems
• Experience troubleshooting Windows systems, and experience with OpenStack, VMWare virtualization
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (Python, Ansible, Bash, etc.)
• Experience with system security, NAS, TCP/IP protocols, and a strong understanding of high availability concepts
• Experience with load balancing is an asset

• Certifications in Linux and virtualization platforms
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred), containerization (Docker), and relational databases
