Power Front Office Functional Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Work as a consultant team member on product implementation and/or upgrade projects
  • Conduct requirements workshops and analysis to capture customers' electricity (power) trading & scheduling, bid/offer/settlement needs
  • Configure, set up software according to the customer's power business scenarios
  • Liaise with customers and team members on all functional phases of projects
  • Assist developers with technical tasks to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Perform issue resolution, analysis, and troubleshooting

  • Supporting the front office, trading, and scheduling team in daily operations tasks
  • Experience in, and familiarity with the electricity marketing and trading lifecycle, from capturing physical, financial, transmission, and capacity trades, to planning, forecasting, scheduling, tagging, settlement, and actualization
  • Working knowledge of the ISO markets, ISO data sets, and NERC regions with e-tagging
  • Reporting, report-development as necessary to support the front office, and scheduling operations
  • Experience in implementing PCI, Hartigen, Adapt2, nMarket
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with power trading, marketing, and scheduling/operations
  • A solid foundation with the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with third parties and internal employees
  • Proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize when faced with multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
