Platform Engineer (relocation to Georgia)

We are looking for a Platform Engineer proficient in vector databases, such as GIS or similar systems. In this role, you will join an established team managing internal LLM services. With a significant impact on the design, planning and implementation of technical solutions, you will also collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Software Engineers.

What You'll Do

• Support the setup and management of a vector database within a self-hosted LLM-based service
• Serve as a special liaison to our central IaaS teams
• Support the setup and administration of newly created AWS accounts
• Facilitate the operations of two teams in our business by managing LLM operations
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, explaining complex machine learning concepts clearly and concisely

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, Data Engineering or a related field
• Expertise in vector databases such as GIS or similar
• High proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines with Atlassian Bamboo and best practices in test automation
• Strong skills in AWS administration and permission management
• Experience in supporting infrastructure for hosting LLMs in production environments
• Competency in deploying AWS-supported vector databases for production use
• Qualifications in setting up compute, storage and service infrastructure
• English language level - B2 and higher

• Degree in computer science or a closely related discipline
• Proficiency in Python
• Willingness to learn from and contribute to an experienced team
