We are currently seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in MySQL and Postgres in our dynamic IT company.

• Understand client expectations on active on-premises workloads and databases
• Assess existing databases and determine migration feasibility and requirements
• Design target state for databases considering various platforms like AWS or Kubernetes
• Develop a detailed migration plan outlining steps, timelines, resources, and potential risks
• Execute the migration plan while ensuring minimal disruption and adhering to security standards
• Contribute in post-migration database management including monitoring and security management
• Document all steps and configurations made during migration
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on migration issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth migration and integration
• Incorporate best practices and improve efficiency within the migration process
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams
• Train and mentor junior team members on database migration concepts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Stay updated with latest trends in cloud migration and database management
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders

• Database management experience, specifically with MySQL and Postgres
• Experience in migrating critical database applications from on-premise to hybrid or cloud environment
• Strong grasp of database concepts and ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis

• Linux shell scripting
• Proficiency in Python
• Ability to learn new tools and languages
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
