Responsibilities

• Design and architect innovative GenAI solutions leveraging machine learning algorithms, neural networks, deep learning techniques, and the Azure AI/ML stack
• Work closely with cross-functional teams & stakeholders to understand solution requirements and communicate them for delivery
• Select appropriate AI services, define architecture patterns, and ensure the alignment with business goals
• Collaborate with the Cloud, Big Data, Integration, Infrastructure, Network & Server teams to build robust, enterprise-quality solutions
• Assist implementation providers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and within budget
• Monitor that all solutions delivered are compliant with ITSEC, PCI, PII, and other standards or policies
• Deliver ML/AI solutions that are fully documented, reliable, operable, and sustainable
• Ensure ethical considerations are embedded within the design and development of AI systems
• Work with Operations to establish standards and processes for hand-off of solutions to Production Support
• Contribute to the team environment by facilitating information sharing and team cooperation
• Create AI Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) while supporting production deployments
• Attend onsite in-person workshops when needed

• Expertise with AI Technologies and GenAI fundamentals
• Strong foundation in computer science and experience with machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics
• Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of AI systems for designing effective solutions
• Proven history working with both internal and third-party teams across multiple times around the world
• Extensive experience with IT solution design and architecture
• Skilled in enterprise-scale technical delivery with Azure AI Services including Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Machine Learning, Generative AI (long-chain, llamindex), LLM customization, Open-source AI frameworks, and AI Infrastructure
• Hands-on experience working as an IT Solution Architect within large enterprise environments
• Familiar with cloud deployments including Azure Cloud, GCP, and AWS
• Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies while solving problems using critical thinking
• Curious about the emerging fields of Gen AI & Cognitive Learning, Robotic Process Automation and Data Science
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, overcoming confusion, and simplifying complex situations
• Exposure to working on SAFe Agile projects
• Knowledge of Java, Python, Microsoft Power Platform (Automate, Apps, PowerBI), Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake and Azure DevOps

• This posting includes a good base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate.
