Responsibilities
  • Steer our team of Android developers, fostering their engagement and productivity, while keeping everyone aligned with project objectives
  • Supervise the technological components of our mobile projects, encompassing planning stages, design, execution, and testing
  • Guarantee timely delivery of projects while maintaining top-tier engineering quality
  • Act as the collaborative link between various departments, like product management, quality assurance, and operations to ensure fluid project execution
  • Engage in the recruitment process by outlining job prerequisites, conducting interviews, and making hiring choices
  • Innovate and execute programs for the induction and training of new team members
  • Regularly share constructive feedback and performance assessments with team members, spotlighting areas for betterment and growth opportunities
  • Foster a harmonious and collaborative working atmosphere by tactfully resolving any team conflicts
  • Keep abreast with industry novelties, technologies, tools, and leading practices, integrating relevant knowledge into the team's everyday work
  • Participate in both internal and external audits, making sure that all documentation and processes are in line with corporate and sector norms
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Android engineering, with hands-on expertise in Kotlin, Swift, React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin
  • 2+ years of proven leadership within a project
  • Demonstrable experience in directing and managing a team of 14 or more engineers
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to steer team members across all tiers of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Self-starter with the knack to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with project management frameworks, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • Proficiency with relevant industry tools, software, and technologies
  • Confidence and competence in public speaking is a bonus - but not a must
