Job Responsibilities:

1. Mainframe Application Development, Maintenance and Support:
• Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications to improve functionality and performance.
• Debug and resolve technical Production issues in a timely manner.
2. Mainframe Application Transformation:
• Prior experience of working on DevOps on Z Implementation, Cobol Upgrades, Dev and Test Offloading, Rehosting of Mainframe to Cloud is preferred
3. Project Management:
• Lead and manage projects related to mainframe application development and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
4. System Analysis and Design:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design system architecture and ensure alignment with business goals.

• Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
• Prepare and present reports on project status and performance to stakeholders.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed applications and systems.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

1. Education:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience:
• Extensive experience in mainframe application development and management.
• Proven track record of leading and managing software development projects.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems and software development tools.
4. Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Certifications:
• Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies or project management may be preferred.

• Familiarity with modern software development practices, such as Agile or DevOps, can be beneficial.
• Experience in managed services or working in a client-facing role may be advantageous.
