Job Title/High Level Position Summary: Receiving Inspector
Performs a multitude of Dimensional Inspection on various hand tools, Comparators, and or Keyence Vision Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Perform dimensional inspection of sub-assemblies or final assemblies.
- Perform quality control/release testing on products and incoming quality inspections.
- Dimensional & visual inspection to drawings, using gauges and other reliant inspection equipment
- Perform inspection in accordance with the FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulations.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming material.
- Maintain compliance in a highly regulated environment for medical devices following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Able to communicate findings effectively in oral and written form with the aim of improving processes.
- Work as part of a team, contributing ideas to improve processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members from areas including but not limited to Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Meet schedule and overtime requirements as needed.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience required, experience with quality dimensional inspection.
- Strong visual acuity and attention to detail required.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time required.
- Perform other functions as needed including 5S, Cal Lab help, and listening to instructions.
