Compliance Analyst - Complaints and Credit Reporting Disputes

About the Role: 

Enova is seeking a Complaints and Credit Reporting Analyst to join the Compliance Team. As a member of this team, you will gain in-depth knowledge of all Consumer brands as well as the regulations, State and Federal, that govern the servicing of our products. Members of this team are subject matter experts in complaint and credit dispute resolution and act as liaisons between Operations and Strategy & Operations to provide guidance and insights into how our policies and procedures are being adhered to and their impact on our customers. This role requires a positive professional demeanor and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with our internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

Complaints Management

    • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in accordance with regulatory timelines
    • Identify trends and root causes in complaint data to drive process improvements
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address compliance gaps and corrective actions
    • Maintain detailed documentation of complaint resolution processes
    • Respond to routine compliance-related questions; escalate any complex or high risk matters to the Compliance Manager
    • Provide complaint reporting and prepare recommendations regarding training needs based on complaint analysis
    • Assist with preparation for regulatory examinations and internal monitoring or audits
    • Perform other functions as assigned

Credit Reporting

    • Investigate and resolve credit reporting disputes and consumer complaints
    • Manage dispute resolution processes for credit reporting inquiries
    • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain data integrity in reporting systems
    • Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
    • Track and report on compliance metrics and key performance indicators

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED), Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Experience working extensively in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to run SQL queries
  • Experience using a CRM tool
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including professional phone presence
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills including ability to multitask efficiently and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Project Management and ability to work independently
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge retention – ability to quickly grasp and retain information needed to perform the role

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience handling official correspondence, including responding to regulator complaints/inquiries
  • 1-2 years working as a team lead
  • Experience in fintech or lending industry

Compensation: 

The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $42,800 - $58,400. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the range shown. Additional compensation for this role may include a bonus and restricted stock units. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Company benefits, described in more detail here.
