Opportunity Overview
It is important to note that we are not looking for a research scientist. We are looking for an AI/ML Data Science Engineer with experience in building production-ready models, while also has a desire to execute research projects. Our data science team is building cutting-edge, revolutionary critical care solutions using diversified AI/ML. We are applying state of the art ML, CV, DL and NLP techniques. At Enlitic, you will lead a global effort to create a coherent, vibrant, Healthcare IT focused AI ecosystem. You will play a key role in driving our customers’ success using our products and services to enhance their business workflow.
You will manage, develop, and implement product strategy for a comprehensive portfolio of healthcare solutions and advanced AI models. Since this position is vital to the overall healthcare continuum of care efforts, you will partner closely with Data Science and Engineering teams across Enlitic. This role requires strong interaction with executives and will provide tremendous opportunity for visibility across all of engineering and data science at Enlitic.

Education
- Bachelors combined with relevant industry work experience, or a Master’s degree in relevant field
Experience
- 4+ Years of relevant experience in data science
- 2+ Years’ experience in AI/ML engineering
- 2+ Years’ experience in healthcare AI/ML a plus
- Critical Experience - Strong overall software development approach; you deliver clean, well-tested code
- Significant full-time experience building end to end data systemSolid software engineering skills in complex, multi-language systems; fluency in Python
- Coding experience in Python, R, Java, or similar functional programming language, applied to data exploration, transformation, and modeling
- Experience working with cloud data processing technologies (Spark, Dask, ElasticSearch, Presto, SQL, etc.)
- Expertise in ML algorithms and qualified practices for working with deep learning systems
- Proficiency with ML modeling frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.)
- Ability to serve as a technical lead demonstrating building technical requirements, software design, implementation, and clear communication
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate end to end lifecycles of large-scale, various distributed machine learning systems
- Construct software that improves your rate of experimentation and enables you to make advanced decisions about what to explore next
- Train, evaluate, and debug deep learning models for complex tasks
- Develop tools and services for improving ML systems beyond modeling choices including data distribution editing, data quality improvements, and representation learning with self-supervision
- Improve distributed cloud GPU training approaches for deep learning models
- Collaborate with engineers across functions to solve complex data problems at scale
- Identify and evaluate new patterns and technologies to improve performance, maintainability, and elegance of our machine learning systems
- Lead technical projects to completion
- Communicate with peers to build requirements, track progress, and deliver commercial ready solutions to product engineering teams
- Mentor fellow engineers in your areas of expertise

- Statistical training / testing / evaluation of machine learning models
- Hypothesis and inference testing
- Perform research and creatively apply new machine learning / AI methods that fulfill business use case objectives
- Perform beyond research and produce production ready solutions, production code and delivery completed models, following regulated design and controls
- Advance a model from conception to reality, working cross functionally with engineering to ensure requirements are met, business objectives achieved, and a high-quality product is produced
