POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Manager, CIS Education/Training provides direction and support for the execution for the ACE IT Education and Training program. The person in this role possesses strong analytical and strategic thinking to deliver complex learning and development programs that drive company goals. Focuses on enhancing learning and development capability through full exploitation and integration of purchased vendor content, materials, and technology with consumer-based products available to employees.

The Senior Manager supervises the development and maintenance of all training schedules, curriculums, and programs related to the EMR application and denovo training. This position has the overall responsibility for the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of all project training activities. The Senior Manager provides the structure and oversight to hospital operational leaders who need to discuss staff training needs for the EMR application. This role demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the application functionality, reporting capabilities, interfacing and integration associated with clinical applications assigned. The Senior Manager is able to effectively engage with end users to train, analyze workflows, optimize user experience, and promote adoption. This position will provide oversight of special projects and committee representation as needed. The Senior Manager may supervise staff while coordinating activities associated with the implementation or optimization of clinical applications, special projects, and site visits.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASK

  • Understands, provides explanation, and continuously builds knowledge of organizational development.
  • Responsible for identifying potential new technology or solutions to facilitate companywide learning and education management.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead projects.
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment and work with persons at all levels of the company.
  • Possesses technical knowledge for data management, analysis, and reporting.
  • Applies a systematic process for analyzing human performance gaps and closing them.
  • Delivers effective learning solutions in various methods and platforms to address learning needs.
  • Builds culture, capability, capacity, and engagement through people development strategies.
  • Captures, distributes, and archives intellectual capital to foster knowledge-sharing/collaboration.
  • Systematically shifts individuals, teams, and organizations from current state to desired state.
  • Management of systems and processes for ACE IT includes responsibility for the following.
    • ACE IT Community platform; eCoach; Simulators; UVue and other video platform
    • Design and maintain ACE IT remote orientation program for endusers and leaders
    • Organizes quarterly Coach call programs; Organizes remote physician training program
    • Coordinates ACE IT communications, monthly Newsletter content in optimal online format; Ad hoc education on new functionality
    • Personnel Training system content management (manual assignments; reports and tracking; ACE IT course ticket management)
    • Coordinates Train Domain refreshes; team Sharepoint site organization
    • Teaches reporting solutions for Discern/Lights On/Power Insight, etc.
    • Leads analysis of needs, use of design tools, and development of training materials
    • Responsible for ACE IT team member orientation and proficiency tracking
    • Trains end users and provides Go Live support as needed
    • Participates in system Upgrades: review and design of new functionality, testing, and training
    • Directs/Participates in project work as assigned
    • Promotes change initiatives in use of electronic system and ensures continued adoption
    • Participates in on-call rotation to provide ongoing support to end users
    • Promotes mutual support among colleagues and emphasizes knowledge sharing and success of the team
    • Completes spreadsheets, work plans, and work requests with minimal supervision
    • Demonstrates flexibility in transitioning between assigned task/duties
    • Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate review of system effectiveness/efficiency
    • Provides ACE IT representation on committees or workgroups
    • Acts as a resource for other staff in areas of expertise
    • Assumes responsibility for direct supervision of staff/teams as assigned.
    • Communicates with hospital leadership as needed; provides routine updates to ACE IT senior leadership


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certification:

  • Certification in Adult Learning, Workforce Development or Corporate Training preferred
  • Active clinical license preferred


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in adult education or related field preferred
  • Five years of experience in a healthcare environment required; Rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Three years of experience implementing an EMR in an inpatient or ambulatory setting; experience in complex healthcare technology implementation beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with coordination of large-scale ongoing education and onboarding program
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, and business and clinical process redesign
  • Three years of experience in Project Management field preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
