The Opportunity

EF and Hult Ashridge Executive Education is looking for a confident and successful Business Development Executive to join a small, entrepreneurial team to relaunch a product line with huge potential post-pandemic. The successful candidate will feel passionately about leadership development and education and what it can do for people in business. You’ll be responsible for generating leads to deliver sales through building relationships with potential clients and enthusiastically educating them on our range of services. It is truly a “people-person” role, with plenty of opportunities for hitting stretching goals and friendly competition. The successful candidate will be joining a passionate and successful sales team, who truly believe in the power of our educational programs and have the drive to provide the highest level service for our clients globally.  The person in this role will play a significant part in the continued growth of the business, and positively affect the lives of many business leaders. 

What you’ll do

As a Business Development Executive for Open Programs at EF and Hult Ashridge you will lead our new business outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn. You’ll generate leads that will reliably turn into new business. You’ll help think about what makes our programs stand out and how to convince busy senior executives that they should take time out of their working week to reflect, learn and improve.


We have seen interest among HR and L&D directors and leadership teams skyrocket in the last 18 months, driven largely by the need to quickly and repeatedly upskill large numbers of their employees. Learning & Development has become a key strategic issue for every Chief Executive Officer. The opportunities for our business and our growth are extraordinary, and we are looking for someone who is able to grab this opportunity with both hands and generate fast results.


You will do this through proactively scoping the market, identifying key needs, reaching out and building relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts and ultimately helping to close big business. Of course, you will also have responsibility for quickly and efficiently following up inbound leads.


We will need you to develop a quick understanding of our full product portfolio as well as expertise and fluency in the Executive Education space, including the very latest thinking, tools and techniques in order to become a trusted advisor to our potential clients.


We work globally with a big client base in Europe so familiarity with the European business landscape, would be ideal.



Who you are


You have a proven track record in business development, lead generation and/or consultative sales, with multiple wins and successes to your name.

Experience in selling education or learning is a big plus.

You thrive under pressure in a target driven environment. You are very compfortable picking up the phone to build relationships with new people.

You know (or can find out quickly!) your MQL from your SQL, who an SDR is, why you should always create an ICP and what part of a sales process is the ToFu!

You have a love of learning, both for yourself and, on a bigger scale, for organizations

You have business and commercial acumen

You are an exceptional communicator, with strong presentation skills

You have equally strong influencing and negotiation skills

You have a bias towards action: You enjoy acting with urgency; you are able to identify and proactively remove barriers; you are focused on delivering results


You have are fluent in English and mastery of  another European language is a plus.

You have a Bachelor's degree

Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
