EF International Language Campuses, Brighton is seeking to recruit an Assistant Director of Studies, for a fixed term summer contract, who will support the Director of Studies in all aspects of the running, management and quality assurance of the academic department.

EF Brighton academic team is a dynamic and inclusive department, where teachers are encouraged to hone their strengths and skills to become the best facilitator of Language Learning that they can be. Through internal and external professional development sessions, we strive to enhance knowledge and increase awareness of what is possible in the ESL classroom. We believe that learning is not only about the details but about the overall experience in and outside the lessons.

Working closely with the teaching and office team, you will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence throughout the school, in order to provide a high level of student satisfaction across all of our English language programmes, 

Reporting to the Director of Studies, you will promote and develop outstanding learning and teaching in the classroom. You will work in accordance with EF policy, ISI and British Council criteria and within the allocated budget parameters.

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team leader who will relish the challenge of being involved in EF’s ongoing academic developments and enjoy being part of the continual professional development of the teaching team (through training and observation). This position may include teaching hours and cover, when needed and will likely involve running a second school with support from the main school.

DELTA qualified or equivalent
undergraduate degree
Experience in management
Ability to effectively lead and motivate
Excellent customer service awareness
Commitment to the highest standards of teaching within our classes;
Strategic thinker and planner
Able to prioritise multiple tasks
Excellent communicator, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Strong ability to meet deadlines whilst remaining flexible at all times;
Resourceful and able to handle difficult situations with ease and remain clam under pressure
Ability to adapt in a fast paced, exciting work environment
Acute attention to detail; Commitment to academic success
Positive attitude
A strong sense of ownership and the drive to succeed.

The position is based at EF Brighton with fixed term contract with an ideal start date on the 14th June until 3rd September 2021.
