The Compensation Reporting and Analysis team is seeking a Sr Financial Analyst III to support accounting, financial planning, reporting, and analytics related to our Firm's Financial Advisor compensation programs and strategies. We are responsible for enabling Firm decision-making, providing influential and strategic financial analysis, and applying new perspectives to solve complex problems.

This role will be part of a team that supports recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reporting, executes financial forecasting, and collaborates across the Firm to support strategies and data-driven decisions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who delivers timely and accurate results, makes effective decisions, and generates innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:
• Execute monthly financial close responsibilities
• Perform complex financial analysis and forecasting
• Present financial reports and analysis to senior Firm leaders
• Prepare (including concept development) customized executive-level reports and dashboards
• Inform and educate others as to the financial impact of business decisions
• Recommend optimal or preferred solutions and impacts to influence strategic decisions
• Proactively identify and implement process and control improvements
• Develop and manage business relationships across the organization

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Hiring Minimum: $84100
Hiring Maximum: $143100

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of accounting processes and financial statements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform advanced financial analysis, forecasting and modeling, such as sensitivity analysis, incorporating multiple variables, and assessing business decision alternatives
  • Excellent ability to analyze problems, summarize complex financial information, and recommend solutions for a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing analytical guidance to directly influence business decisions
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and independently adjust to changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic communication tools

What Could Set You Apart:

  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle, OneStream or another financial planning tool
  • Advanced degree (MBA) / Comparable Certification (CFA, CPA, etc.)

Please note:Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
