Wealth Management Advice and Solutions (WMAS) is responsible for leading the firm in ensuring our clients are on track to meet their financial goals. Products is an area within WMAS focused on enabling personalized client outcomes by leading the strategy and evolution of the firm's wealth management offering. Part of the Products team in our WMAS division, our Edward Jones Trust Company provides personalized investment management and fiduciary services.
What You Will Do:
The Estate Settlement Trust Officer is responsible for the administration of trusts, estates and investment management accounts.
As an Estate Settlement Trust Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Daily management of probate and estate settlement trust administration in accordance with Edward Jones Trust Company guidelines, fiduciary standards, trust agreements, wills, powers of attorney and all contracts relating to the account relationship.
- Onboarding and closing of accounts; including asset identification, asset gathering and analysis in a high-volume environment.
- Developing, strengthening, and retaining client, beneficiary, client team relationships.
- Reviewing, understanding, and interpreting trust agreements, wills, contracts and other estate planning documents to limit regulatory and legal risk.
- Partnering with financial advisors to fully understand clients' needs and deliver an excellent client experience.
- Discussing and explaining complex tax and estate planning concepts and trust terms with beneficiaries and financial advisors.
- Serving on Trust Company committees, participating in business planning or other initiatives as requested.
- Working with internal resources to manage special assets and real estate, including the inventory, appraisal and sale or transfer thereof.
- Researching various laws including statutory requirements, probate rules, and court requirements and applying knowledge of these laws to unique circumstances.
- Formulating plans for the execution of estate plans, using tax planning analysis and wealth transfer strategies.

Hiring Minimum: $84100
Hiring Maximum: $143100

What Experience You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 3 years trust and estate administration, or related legal or financial services experience required.
- Knowledge of trust administration principles, estate planning principles, taxes, and investment principles required.
- Strong written and verbal communication (especially in complex matters) and demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively train, delegate and follow up with others who provide service to the client and branch team
- Demonstrated advanced organization skills are essential.
What Could Set You Apart:
- CTFA, J.D., CFP, CPA, or substantial progress toward professional certification strongly preferred.
- Advanced ability to manage real estate, TPP, and other unique assets and identify and mitigate risks related to those assets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and applicable laws, probate procedures, tax planning and wealth-transfer strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to balance compliance, legal, and business decisions.
- Ability to work in team-based environment, delegate work appropriately, and lead meetings effectively.
- Ability to use trust accounting system, Microsoft products and other automation tools.
*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
