Job Description

We are a global and multidisciplinary team of 20+ designers, researchers, writers and in-app/email communication specialists in a mission to reduce the complexity of sustainable supply chain management down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use, guiding all companies toward a sustainable world. We are responsible for Ecovadis end-to-end multi-product platform experience that also includes integration with 3rd party platforms such as Tableau, etc.

About the Role

As a Product Design Manager at Ecovadis, you’ll partner with product management, product development, and engineering to ensure a smooth product development process and drive better experience. You’ll also ensure consistent and high-quality work while enabling the growth of your team and the evolution of design as a discipline within EcoVadis. 

You will:

  • Vision and direction: Contribute to product direction conversations, and stay involved in the strategy and vision of the areas you’re assigned;
  • Planning: Work with product partners to assess upcoming work requests, gaining enough clarity to translate expectations into applicable tasks and attainable goals. Align the teams' work to product priorities, and plan XD efforts for upcoming Frostbite releases;
  • Strategy: Proactively identify strategic user experience opportunities and define roadmaps by balancing asks with team capacity, and providing visibility and insights for the design team and partners;
  • Collaboration: Improve the quality of collaboration between the design, product and development teams by defining operational best practices and recommending process improvements;
  • Design quality: Participate actively in design syncs by reviewing deliverables that your team creates, and provide feedback to assess problem-solution fit and high-quality output. Ensure that the team produces high-quality designs based on existing design principles, patterns and systems;
  • Usability: Help teams analyze, identify and prioritize overall user experience improvements that balance user and business value;
  • Process: Set up and manage collaborative frameworks within design and cross-functionality to boost efficiency and drive experience integrity;
  • Hiring: Help source talent, interview, review and provide feedback to maintain a high-quality interview process;
  • Career development: Provide coaching for those on your team to grow technical/soft skills and develop career paths;
  • People management: Recognize and help prevent burnout while managing well-being, performance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Track record working within product teams at a leadership level;
  • Strong understanding of design principles - UX patterns and information architecture;
  • Experience managing concurrent design projects with diverse teams;
  • Passion for creating visually pleasing and intuitive user experiences;
  • Knowledgeable across human-centred design, including UX strategy, interaction design, user research, prototyping, and more;
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and practical organizational planning skills;
  • Well-versed in facilitation techniques that enable groups to build clarity and alignment;
  • Sound judgment on what challenges to invest in and what challenges to deprioritize;
  • Experience driving organizational change with cross-functional stakeholders;
  • Experience growing a team of designers and serving as a mentor and advisor to the design team at-large;
  • Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same;
  • Champion a culture of well-being by recognizing and mitigating burnout risks, while ensuring timely project delivery.
