Job Description

We are a global and multidisciplinary team of 20+ designers, researchers and writers. We aim to reduce the complexity of sustainable supply chain management to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use, guiding all companies toward a sustainable world. We are responsible for Ecovadis' end-to-end multi-product platform experience

Job description

Our Product and Solution team seeks a Product Design Director. In this role, you will lead all aspects of user experience for our multi-product portfolio, including visual and interaction design, user research and design systems (20 people). As the Head of Design, you will raise the agility and quality of our product experiences to be on par with leading consumer user experiences. You will shift the conversation from “How long does it take to do this?” to “What else can we do?” In this role, you will report to the VP of Ratings and Platform Product Management and have executive visibility to the Chief Solution Officer (CSO) of EcoVadis.

In this role, you will:

  • Leadership responsibilities:

    • Develop and own the product design vision for EcoVadis. Through a partnership with our CSO, engineering and product leadership, and your own earned insight, you will craft the vision for how the design of our products will evolve and how this evolution supports our product and business goals;
    • Work with product managers, engineering, and other stakeholders to establish objectives, high-level strategies, and key results for the design team. Understand the design needs of large-scale software projects, identify priority areas for design and break them down into achievable tasks;
  • Creative responsibilities:

    • Develop design strategy, standards, and vision, ensuring the team delivers cutting-edge UX/UI, user flows, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed mockups;
    • Ensure the team and projects are well planned, scoped, and organized to ensure timely delivery. Champion fast iteration, user research, and smart experimentation;
    • Enhance product usability by assessing qualitative and quantitative signals (ex: NPS, product usage, user testing);
  • People & Ops responsibilities:

    • Lead and nurture a young and ambitious design team (based primarily in Warsaw, Poland);
    • Ensure right tools and processes are in place for the team to do their best work.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in human-centered or service design, ideally in building software subscription-based products (can be in either software or non-tech industries);
  • Strong business results orientation enabled by a portfolio of world-class quality design achievements as an individual, manager, and leader; you are as comfortable with data as design;
  • Execution-oriented mindset - with the humility, drive, and scrappiness to get it done;
  • Experience collaborating with large teams. Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills;
  • Experience in the dynamic growth of a company and teams brings structure to uncertainty;
  • Business fluency in English; ability to lead multi-cultural teams across time zones.
