Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious AI-Powered Product Engineering Intern to join our new AI Product Innovation Lab, based in our Barcelona office. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside senior engineers, product managers, and designers in a fast-paced, agile team. You'll focus on using Generative AI, foundation models, and modern AI engineering frameworks to explore, build, and launch end-to-end prototypes of disruptive ideas. If you're passionate about building real-world AI applications and want to contribute to cutting-edge projects while learning from experienced professionals, this role is for you!

The ideal duration of the internship is 6 months and will be discussed with the candidate.

Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Actively participating in the design, development, and testing of GenAI prototypes and proof-of-concepts within the AI Innovation Lab.
• Working hands-on with foundation models (LLMs, multimodal models) and AI engineering frameworks such as Langchain, Haystack, LlamaIndex, or similar to build application logic.
• Collaborating closely with a small, multi-disciplinary squad to rapidly iterate on ideas and deliver end-to-end functional prototypes.
• Researching emerging AI tools, model capabilities, and innovative techniques relevant to lab projects.
• Helping to document experiments, findings, prototype features, and setup guides.
• Bringing fresh perspectives and actively participating in a "build and learn fast" environment.

Qualifications

You have an outgoing personality along with an exceptional level of drive and a desire to pursue a career in an international and dynamic environment.

• Educational Background and Location: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, and must be based in or able to relocate to Barcelona for the internship.
• Core Technical Skills: Strong programming skills, a solid understanding of software development fundamentals, and a keen interest in AI Engineering principles (including foundation models, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI Agents). Practical experience with AI engineering frameworks (like Langchain, Haystack, LlamaIndex) is a bonus.
• "Builder" Mindset and Learning Agility: Possess a "builder" mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities, an eagerness to learn quickly, experiment with new technologies, and work hands-on.
• Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work collaboratively in a small, agile team, with excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Drive and Personality: An outgoing personality with an exceptional level of drive and a desire to pursue a career in an international and dynamic environment.
• Practical Application and Project Experience: Full-stack development experience (front-end, back-end, API development) is a significant plus. Personal or academic projects involving building AI-powered applications are also advantageous.

Additional Information

Location: Barcelona
