The Business Development Manager, Mexico will focus on supporting inside sales and branches with qualifying and closing Southern border and Mexico cross-border leads. This position will be working on a consistent basis with Sales, Solutions, Implementation, Sourcing and various levels of management within the customer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Training the U.S. sales force on the Mexico service offering, helping to identify Mexico prospects with existing and new Client's, assisting Client Sales with Client discovery calls, face to face visits, strategy recommendation, client contract process. This position will report directly to the VP of Business Development/Sales, Mexico

Essential Job Functions:
• Training sales team on service offering and how to identify ideal prospects
• Be the Mexico geography expert for the sales team
• Manage and report on pipeline of sales opportunities
• Collaborate with U.S. sales and Mexico operations to create client solutions
• Work in conjunction with the Mexico base sales team to cross-sell business
• Meet with clients to provide a needs analysis and explain our Mexico value prop
• Work with sales teams to review opportunities and help qualify potential accounts
• Manage the follow-up and feedback loop for all opportunities
• Manage rate quotations and help drive any contract reviews
• Identify and manage non-current Echo client prospects and work with sales to close
• Develop meeting cadence with sales to develop more opportunities

Characteristics & Requirements:
• 5+ years of Mexico Transportation Industry sales experience. Truck brokerage background is ideal
• Proven history closing business and achieving budgeted sales goals.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
• Proven experience meeting with clients on both sides of the border at multiple levels
• Strong ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships
• Works well with all Echo Business Units and Management
• Knowledge of industry terminology, methods and procedures
• Experience in pricing, carrier sales and operations a plus
• Well versed in Echo's Mexico business plan and future company goals
