Your Opportunity
This Agile Development Manager is a leader who guides, coaches, and mentors a team of software engineers in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of EIS products. The Agile Development Manager is responsible for ensuring that development teams are aligned with EIS's strategic objectives and goals, and that they are delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories)
What You'll Do
- Manage 1-2 teams of ~3-7 engineers each, with a focus on team development and growth
- Ensure that the whole team owns the quality of the products we produce and maintain a balanced mindset across the engineering disciplines involved in delivering those products according to the ‘definition of done'
- Advocate for the team and promote their successes, celebrate their failures, and share key learnings throughout the organization
- Lead accountability, autonomy, and empowerment within your teams and manage the appropriate boundaries to achieve the result of having self-directed work teams
- Regularly review team performance, collaborate with them on improvement initiatives/experiments (PDSA Cycle), and understand the data, team, and workflow and provide effective coaching for improvement
- Work directly with product team and business representatives to provide business solutions from inception to operation
- Work with the scrum master and product owner to create a triad of peers whose goal is to support the development team. Build trust within the triad and communicate frequently
- Ensure that teams AWS costs are remaining in budget. Ensure that the team's components adhere to Non Functional Requirements (NFR's)
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or other Technical related degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years' experience in software development
- 3+ years' experience of technical leadership as a team lead, architect, or manager in an agile development environment
- 3+ years' experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe
Pay Range
USD $125,425.00 - USD $179,180.00 /Yr.
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location.
