What you'll do:
- Manage the Warehouse operations at Eaton's largest manufacturing site in Canada: They will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate warehouse operations & logistics are in place to meet our customer demands. This will include shipping, receiving, and picking to meet production goals and demands.
- Environmental, health and safety: Act as a role model for our EHS program for the warehouse department and ensure all appropriate policies, procedures and risks associated with EHS are consistently upheld.
- Inventory: Maintain inventory accuracy within the warehouse.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate and lead activities like Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S+, and Standard Work events. Your efforts will contribute to Kaizen events and other Lean activities, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor and Train: The Warehouse Supervisor will lead by example and ensure a highly engaged, inclusive environment in the warehouse. They will ensure proper onboarding and training for employees.
Qualifications:
Basic (required) Qualifications:
- Completed a college diploma or university degree from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Five (5) years of experience using an ERP or warehouse management system
- Authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
- No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a warehouse or supply chain function in the electrical manufacturing industry, fabrication/assembly environment, or an engineered-to-order environment
- Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology tools and problem solving required
- Experience with Oracle
- Experience with warehouse layout optimization

Additionally, mentoring and training employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols will contribute to the organization's success.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, strong numerical aptitude, and advanced critical thinking skills are crucial. Additionally, strong interpersonal and planning skills, coupled with the proven ability to inspire change through both direct and indirect influencing abilities, are highly valued.
