Position Overview

Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales to join our Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) North American (NA) Region. In this highly visible role, you will report to the GEIS President, NA Region and Senior Vice President Sales for the Electrical Sector with responsibility for defining and driving execution for a $1.4B revenue business. As a passionate, visionary leader you will have the opportunity to inspire a team of 12 direct reports and a 120 person+ sales function. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to business expansion, as we continue to evolve in a transformational landscape.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute an actionable strategy across the GEIS portfolio, achieving year sales targets, industry leading market position, and YoY growth objectives.
  • Build alignment of the GEIS region strategy to Eaton segment strategies with articulated communication and an executable roadmap.
  • Collaborates with Sales Channel Leadership to evaluate, establish and maintain a network of independent sales agents and distributors.
  • Build relationships with 3rd party sales agents to drive penetration of GEIS products in the market while negotiating terms that create win-win solutions for both the agent/Eaton.
  • Execute and communicates a compelling strategic value proposition through sales agents, distributors, specifiers, and end users.
  • Lead/support key strategic commercial negotiations developing senior level relationships at our key customers.
  • Create effective value propositions through leveraging the VOC to accelerate NPI sales.
  • Attract and develop talent, building capability in the function with world-class competencies through organizational design optimization.
  • Design sales incentive programs that drive behavior within the sales force to achieve growth targets and support profitable growth.
  • Promote and emulate a culture reflected in Eaton's Leadership attributes including high performance, inclusion & diversity, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 15+ years' experience in a sales or marketing function working with electrical distributors
  • 10+ years leadership experience for a growth oriented, dynamic industry leader in a comparable size/scope role.
  • Record of accomplishment in building and developing high performing diverse teams, in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of Technical/Engineering focused Product Sales
  • Proven ability to to work in a competitive landscape establishing rigor and cadence to drive sales team to deliver measurable results.
  • Bachelor's degree (Advanced degree preferred)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $218,025.00 - $ 319,770.00 a year.
