Transcreation Specialist - German Speaker

This is a hybrid position (3/2) based in Budapest, Hungary.

What you'll do:

Join Eaton's Translation and Copywriting Centre of Excellence (COE) to support our growing EMEA content needs. As a Transcreation Specialist, you'll deliver high-quality German-language transcreation and copywriting from English (US) source materials, ensuring brand consistency and excellence across all touchpoints.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert transcreation, translation, subtitling, and copywriting for brochures, emails, websites, and multimedia content
• Collaborate with internal teams and support them in using the Globallink translation platform
• Manage projects through established workflows, ensuring timely and high-standard delivery
• Implement reviewer feedback while maintaining coherence and brand tone
• Maintain and enhance Eaton's German terminology resources and translation memories
• Integrate SEO keywords into marketing content
• Coordinate with project managers and team leads to prioritise internal requests
• Act as a brand guardian, refining Eaton's German style guide in partnership with country and central marketing teams

• Bachelor's degree ideally with linguistics and translation background
• 1-3 years experience in translation or transcreation
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• English language knowledge minimum C1 level
• Native level German speaker (C2)
• CAT tools: Globallink / Wordfast preferred or other, experience with terminology management tools, theory of translation
• Ability to operate and deliver independently without day-to-day supervision and work proactively taking the ownership on the given scope
