Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Training Specialist - Developer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

What you'll do:
Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Training Specialist - Developer. A Training Specialist of the Eaton Electrical Services and Systems group designs and develops instructor-led and Web-based training and acts as either the assistant or lead instructor for training programs given to Eaton employees and Eaton customers.

- Exhibit technical knowledge of the commissioning and maintaining of electrical power distribution system components including power circuit breaker assemblies, motor control centers, unit-substation and power transformers, protective relays, and motors.
- Display technical knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the application of switchgear, transformers and motors in electrical power systems.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of safe-work practices as described in National Fire Protection Association Standard 70E and OSHA 29CFR1910 Subpart R and Subpart S.
- Create, maintain and update lesson plans and classroom-reference materials.
- Develop and design courses and curriculum
- Edit and develop online learning materials.
- Create learning experiences and environments.
- Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Create computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
- Develop instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
- Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.
- Manage online learning communities.
- Analyze, update, and refine existing online content.
- Work closely with product-line managers and factory reliability engineers to develop the curricula for new training programs.
- Assist Service Sales Engineers in investigating and implementing opportunities for the training of customers.
- Prepare and conduct training events including, but not limited to, communicating the set-up, scheduling, travel, equipment and material needs to the training coordinator.
- Provide student and course evaluations while also tracking course cost and actively seeking cost savings and opportunities for course improvements.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; education, engineering, or related course of study.
- Minimum five years experience Develops and designs courses and curriculum in a professional environment
- Candidate must reside within a 50 mile radius of location listed in job description

Preferred Qualifications:
- Classroom presentation and technical writing skill.
- Experience with industrial and commercial power-systems equipment.
- Professional presence and an ability to establish rapport with a variety of personalities in multiple levels of the organization.
- Understanding of adult learning styles.
- Proficiency in the use of the tools required for the development of new training materials including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and other Web-based training media.
- Ability to lift, move and set up demonstration equipment of various weight up to 40 pounds and move demonstration equipment on wheels weighing in excess of 40 pounds.
