Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Test Equipment Technician. This role is based in Davenport, IA.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $45749.97 - $67099.96 a year.

What you'll do:
The Test Equipment Technician will set up, test, calibrate, and repair all types of controls or instruments.
In this function you will:
• Under general supervision sets up, tests, calibrate, and repairs all types of controls or instruments which adjust, measure, or indicate certain scientific variables or qualities such as heat, speed, voltage, amperage, etc

• Assembles, test, and modifies prototype units and new units
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates in-house and vendor test equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment
• Works with close tolerances
• May draft prints and schematics
• May be responsible for documentation and qualification of testing of units
• Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles
• All other related duties

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Associates degree from an accredited institution in electrical or mechanical discipline and 3 years of industrial and/or manufacturing experience or bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical discipline
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 70 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee.
Preferred qualifications:
• 1 year of troubleshooting PC or Laptop (Pull boards, drive and replacement, load software, etc.)
• 1 year of Vibration test equipment usage or calibration experience
• Electrical and Pneumatics schematics
• Skilled at troubleshooting and analyzing technical issues
• Skilled at reading prints, engineering drawings and Electrical & Pneumatic schematics
• Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with close tolerances
• Ability to operate electronic measuring and gauging equipment (Multimeters, Pressure Calibrator, Meter calibrators, Calipers, Oscilloscope, Pneumatics)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to make independent judgments regarding technical issues
