Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Test Engineer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you'll do:

Job Summary
This position is for a Test Engineer to support new product and sustianing test programs including development testing, qualification testing, test report generation, enforcing test standards, and project management of complex test equipment for electro-mechanical actuators. Eaton Grand Rapids products include motor controllers, motors, electrical boards, gears, ball screws, no-back mechanisms, clutches, brakes, housings, electronic enclosures, bearings, pins, screws, and other related components.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on testing for new product development and sustaining programs
• Design and develop new test equipment for verification of electro-mechanical actuator during development, qualification, and production phases.
• Write engineering documents including but not limited to test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Work with Senior Test Engineers to design, build, and verification of test equipment through external suppliers.
• Develop test equipment requirements from customer and product requirements.
• Coordinate testing with outside test labs.
• Support technicians in test execution and test equipment development.
• Create and release engineering drawings and schematics.
• Participate in troubleshooting and repair of test equipment.
• Comply with Eaton's high expectations for a safe work environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). * This role requires working on-site M-F at our Grand Rapids, Mi location. Only local candidates will be considerd for this role.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or other Engineering or Engineering Technology degree.

• 0-3 years within a high-tech/ manufactured production sector supporting new product development, sustaining, and/or testing related functions.

• This position requires access to export-controlled information. • Candidate must currently reside within 50 miles from Grand Rapids, MI. Relocations assistance is not available for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Aerospace/ Automotive experience.

• Knowledge of CREO or other 3D design tool
• Hands on experience with projects or testing
• Experience writing test procedures and reports.
