Territory Manager - Wiring Devices

Austin, TX

Eaton's North American Sales division is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Wiring Devices to join our team. This role can be located in either the Austin or Houston, Texas sales office. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius of this location. This role will report to the Regional Wiring Devices Sales Director and will be responsible for leading a team of sales agencies and their associated sales resources in their wiring devices sales efforts in the Central/South Texas and Louisiana markets. This is a perfect opportunity for a skilled sales professional to gain leadership experience by leading sales agencies to drive sales.

What you'll do:

The primary function of the Territory Sales Manager within the Wiring Devices Team is to assist and guide the local sales agencies in wiring devices sales initiatives. This position will be responsible to drive the team to achieve the assigned sales goal while under little supervision. It will be an expectation to optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin, while increasing sales in the marketplace. This position will need to coordinate sales efforts across all applicable vertical markets for the assigned territory. It has the responsibility to manage key channel and contractor management relationships, while providing sales and technical assistance to agents, distributors, customers and end users.

In this function you will:

• Develop and execute sales plans with assigned sales agencies to meet performance expectations and requirements
• Provide technical and competitive assistance to those agents on project quotations as well as channel/contractor/end-user conversion opportunities.
• Coordinate with local NAS resources to maximize their project and conversion opportunities to include WD products
• Prepare and present product training presentations to grow our organizational capabilities at the agent, channel, and end-user level.
• Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects
• Assist assigned agents by working with the product-line to resolve technical and market issues
• Canvas the market to gain insight and guide the product line in adjusting to ever changing pricing and specification requirements.
• Assist agents in developing a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions
• Obtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skills

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience
• Technical competence to quickly learn about new electrical products to present confidently to customers
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of electrical industry experience
• MBA or working toward
• Knowledgeable of a wide range of Eaton electrical products, services and competitors
• Adept at data analytics and associated tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
• Team leadership experience. (not necessarily management)
• Experience or exposure to a manufacturing organization

Skills:

• Possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to respond to a variety of circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications
• Electrical product knowledge
• Ability to analyze large data sets and compare competitive BOMs to our available offering
• Skilled in time management
• Possess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders and conversion opportunities
• Be able to analyze sales data to identify potential growth opportunities
• Experience coordinating with internal stake-holders/product-line resources to effectively communicate the requirements for sales opportunities
• Robust presentation & training skills
• Experience utilizing value added selling techniques
• Strong work ethic, communications skills, competitiveness, willingness to learn and adept at building relationships
• Ability to travel up to 50%

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and sales incentive. This position has a total compensation range of $138,750.00 - $203,500.00.
