Temporary Financial Analyst
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This unique role will manage two ledgers (U.S. and Mexico) and provide support to a pending manufacturing footprint relocation from 3 sites in the U.S. to Juarez, Mexico. Additionally, this role will assist in managing restructuring expenses across multiple sites. This position has financial responsibility including forecasting & planning and internal controls and is a member of the project team.

• Member of the project team responsible for the successful implementation of Eaton financial policies / culture, practices and systems
• Development and execution of monthly financial process, which includes month end closing and forecasting/tracking of the capital, expense, and savings.
• Development and execution of financial processes and reporting required by the footprint relocation (e.g. FA moves/transfers, etc.)
• Responsible for the integrity of the balance sheet, ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly
• Oversees the accuracy and integrity of internal controls assuring SOX compliance
• Coordinate the completion of the annual profit plan for the new business; develop budgets and monitor throughout the year
• Assist Project Team Finance Lead with ERP implementation, developing standard costs / routings, etc.
• Assist Project Team Finance Lead with daily and monthly responsibilities relating to financial reporting and project requirements. Specific functions include forecasting, month end closing, reviewing journal entries, analyzing posting detail, financial reporting, department budgeting, administration of cost out process, capital project reporting and fixed asset tracking.
• Lead monthly financial closing and forecast cycle including collection, assembly, and analysis of data from various locations. Prepare both actual and forecast commentaries. Serve as back-up to Finance Lead in leading core meetings.
• Analyze forecast and plan variances and evaluate their effect on planned objectives. Compare operational data and financial reports to prior periods, forecasts, and objectives, and provide explanations to management.
• Partner with operations in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating productivity and cost out improvement programs.
• Assist with co-ordination and lead the consolidation of the annual profit plan
• Perform monthly analysis of balance sheet accounts, including review of balances for accuracy and advice to management of potential issues.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Eaton financial policies and systems.
• Develop and implement analytical tools and templates at division and plant level
• Perform other duties and special projects as required to achieve Corporate, Departmental and Division objectives.
• Support the various managers with questions and issues relating to financial operations, budgets and objectives.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• 2-3 years experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
