The hourly rate for this position is $26.25 per hour.
The core hours are 5 am - 1 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you'll do:
The Team Leader in Material Handling performs duties in the areas of planning, controlling, and motivating the efforts of team members to meet customer requirements/order rates, ensuring that the lean production process is running as designed, and applying continuous improvement of the process to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. They use a process to track and follow-up on actual accomplishments of assigned tasks, exhibits intense commitment to focus on explicitly defining processes and disciplined adherence to the Standard Work for Team Leaders. They work under the guidance of the Team Supervisor exercising initiative and independent judgement as needed.
In this function, you will:
- Lead a team of hourly personnel in a specific work cell/area to fulfill customer requirements/order rates to produce quality products in a safe and timely manner following standard work designed for the value stream.
- Ensure timely and accurate Control board updates
- Coordinate/ provide training to new employees.
- Complete daily for aligning resources, people and work; lead the team start up meetings, and conduct floor check production start up
- Ensure shift change coordination including: leading a tier-one meeting with team members, conducting standard walks with supervisor/ manager ensuring standardized work in Team Members area. Ensures smooth transition of workflow and assignments between shifts, which includes coordination and effective communication w/team lead relieving or being relieved.
- Keep the supervisor/manager informed of issues affecting production; review prior shift's/day's production-tracking documents to understand and take required actions on misses and other issues, complete daily assignments, and verify execution of the Team Members work assignment
- Create preventative actions to meet specific safety and environmental goals and ensures that 6S events are being conducted on a regular basis
- Take ownership to lead, set direction for change and improvements and inform management of any continuous improvement ideas and suggestions
- Assist in production when necessary and is responsible for ensuring operators are trained in powered industrial vehicle and/or Crane/Hoist training along with all areas of the value stream they work in
- Participate in lean production projects to support the continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of assembly experience
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience in a lean manufacturing environment
Additional Information:
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); preferred knowledge of SAP
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills required, and a demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve specific goals.
