What you'll do:

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Supply Chain Manager on a 9 month FTC maternity leave contract to lead all supply chain operations at our Sutton-in-Ashfield MEDC site. This role covers materials planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics. You'll manage a dedicated team and work cross-functionally to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and execute supply chain strategy with a focus on cost productivity and supplier performance.
  • Lead inventory management, purchasing, and planning to support production and customer demand.
  • Manage supplier relationships, drive dual/re-sourcing, and support NPD/NPI processes.
  • Oversee warehouse and logistics operations, including goods-in and delivery fleet.
  • Own the supply response to the Sales & Operations Planning process.
  • Use SAP MRP tools to ensure accurate material flow and inventory optimization.
  • Develop and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education and strong ERP/MRP experience (preferably SAP).
  • Proven leadership in manufacturing supply chain environments.
  • Strong procurement and negotiation skills.

Desirable:

  • International sourcing experience.
  • CIPS qualification.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement exposure.

Skills:

  • Hands-on, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
