Supplier Quality & Warranty Engineer

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality & Warranty Engineer in El Paso, TX.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position will supervisor 5 direct reports (1 Quality Technician and 4 Quality Inspectors). Ensure the quality and reliability of supplier products and manage warranty-related issues within the electrical sector by leading supplier assessments, driving corrective actions, resolving customer complaints, and supporting continuous improvement through audits, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and Critical Outputs:

• Lead quality activities related to supplier specifications and receiving inspection.
• Conduct initial assessments and periodic audits of supplier quality systems.
• Approve new suppliers and ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards.
• Initiate and follow up on supplier corrective actions to maintain product integrity.
• Supervise and guide Quality Inspectors in receiving inspection processes.
• Deliver hands-on training to inspection teams to ensure procedural consistency.
• Lead the Material Review Board in resolving supplier-related nonconformance issues.
• Develop and track supplier metrics to evaluate quality performance.
• Lead warranty issue resolution per established procedures and policies.
• Provide timely updates to customers on quality issues and requests.
• Coordinate resolution of customer complaints, quality alerts, and external escapes.
• Attend customer meetings and lead improvement initiatives through structured problem-solving.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of Quality expereince in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven ability to solve problems utilizing common problem-solving methodologies/tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams, pareto charts, control charts, etc.
• Quality Management System and Six Sigma knowledge
• Proven ability to write technical documents such as procedures and specifications

• ISO9001 or TS16949 Experience Support deployment of Eaton Quality System (EQMS)/ISO9001
• Lead internal systems audits by performing regular process and systems evaluations.
• Supervise Warranty Technicians, providing coaching and development to support continuous improvement in product and process quality

Specialized Knowledge:

• Demonstrate strong customer focus and decision-making skills while managing priorities, resolving conflicts, and driving results through effective problem-solving.
• Apply industry-specific quality standards and customer contractual requirements, including ISO, IATF, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Utilize inspection and testing methodologies to validate product and process performance, ensuring compliance with specifications and reporting outcomes.
• Lead and execute PFMEA, APQP, and Control Plan activities to proactively identify and mitigate risks in supplier processes.
• Analyze process capability using CPK and other statistical tools to ensure consistent quality and continuous improvement.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving tools to address nonconformances and prevent recurrence.
• Operate within EQMS platforms to manage quality documentation, audits, and supplier performance metrics in alignment with organizational standards.)
