Eaton's ES AMER HQ division is currently seeking a Strategic Programs, Lead Finance Analyst. The position can be based out of any Eaton facility in the U.S. with the flexibility of remote work.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

What you'll do:

Eaton is seeking a Strategic Programs Lead Analyst within the Operations of Electrical Sector - Americas. Location for the Strategic Programs Lead Analyst is flexible and serves as the finance business partner to the Senior Finance Manager of Strategic Programs and Operations and SCM Finance team, providing timely and accurate financial information and direction to drive management action. The Strategic Programs Lead Analyst is responsible for supporting in the planning, organizing, and managing of the various systems & processes within this discipline, ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies, GAAP, and legal requirements.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the efforts of executing strategic projects in support of the operational and growth goals of the Electrical Sector - Americas business. This role will be heavily focused on business case analysis and financials, tracking program financials, and supporting in Senior Management report outs.

Essential Functions:

• You are part of the team developing and supporting the execution of the ES-A strategy to expand the top and bottom line of the business through organic and inorganic growth. You will help develop financial models to guide decisions through analysis and mitigate risk with sensitivity analysis.
• Act as a business partner, reviewing forecasts and actual performance of financial results, business drivers, and operational metrics and deriving forward-looking insights to drive management actions to ensure we stay on time and on budget with program/forecast & plan spending.
• Evaluate and drive results for activities needed for the new site set ups (capacity expansion), acquisitions, or new product set up, including coordinating ledger setup, IT processes, and local government regulations (IMMEX where required, tax, etc.)
• Demonstrate the organizational skills required to deal with multiple "high priority" duties and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines.
• Assist and drive Eaton's Finance Transformation initiative.
• Develop and coordinate program profit plans, monthly forecasts, goals, and reports for program management, including capital tracking, variance analysis and cost control reporting including recommendations. This includes consistent reporting across multiple projects.
• Help develop capital appropriation requests of $2M+, their supporting materials, and detail to tell the story. You will partner with Finance Directors, Vice Presidents, and Project Managers to gather and develop these business cases.
• Support the management and accurate reporting of ES-A capacity capital to Senior Leadership.
• You will understand the vision of the business and take an active role in furthering that vision. You will be knowledgeable of the Electrical Sector-Americas product portfolio, markets, competitors, and other industries to help drive execution of ES-A strategy.
• Support capital spending management for large projects, including progress to CAR, Profit Plan, & Forecast.
• Gather information and data for restructuring projects and track towards plan as needed, including support in developing and deploying restructuring programs.
• Ensure that all business-related activities are conducted within the guidelines of Eaton Corporation financial policies and procedures and that all internal controls therein adhere to Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Adhere to and comply with all ISO 14001/EHS, TS 16949 standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounting required
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leading projects experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience in finance or accounting
  • Master's degree in business administration, Finance or Accounting from an accredited instutition
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate financial policies, procedures, and systems
  • Systems skills/experience desired: Oracle Planning, Oracle Financials, Mapics ERP, SAP, and VISTA. Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in Spanish

Position Criteria:
• Strong manufacturing accounting background and solid understanding of financial accounting systems
• Problem-solving capability
• Technical capability to prepare, review, and interpret financial and operations data/reports
• Solid working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Working knowledge of pronouncements of external regulatory bodies, such as Financial Accounting Standards Board, SEC, IRS, etc. Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge
• Advanced skills in Excel and working ability in all Microsoft Office Professional Suite software.
• Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet goals.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of employees in a multi-tasking environment.
• Organizational skills required to deal with multiple high priority duties and customers. Project management experience is beneficial.
