Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Strategic Procurement Lead. This role is based in Davenport, IA.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

Eaton Mission Systems Division is seeking a Strategic Procurement Lead to create and execute the business unit's strategic procurement initiatives, defining and implementing robust sourcing strategies to support the business' goals in alignment with site and Aerospace Sector objectives. The Strategic Procurement Lead will lead a team of best in class procurement professionals to continuously improve the delivery of materials from suppliers on time to need, the quality of materials and services procured, and the cost of our products in a compliant procurement system. This position is located in Davenport, IA and reports directly to the Supply Chain Lead.

In this role you will:

  • Manages and directs all strategic procurement activities to ensure completion of customer requirements BID TAT/COTD.
  • Align goals and objectives to site, divisional and aerospace strategies through policy deployment.
  • Develop the site supply chain strategy and integrates the external supply chain into the business while maintain flexibility and responsiveness to new requirements.
  • Increases value by reducing the Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) of all procured items, both goods and services, including consideration for DOH, and delivers sustainable cost reduction programs.
  • Develops budgets and resource plans and monitors performance to achieve part delivery and cost requirements (SAVMAT/ECOMAT).
  • Critically assesses the supplier base and re-structure / consolidate where required.
  • Supports the product design organization through new product introduction phase.
  • Prepare business case and advocate for cross-functional site, divisional, and MSD leadership buy-in required for strategic initiative launch.
  • Review and approval of all direct material cost estimates to support new business opportunities - ensuring any risks associated with program execution are clearly identified and properly accounted for.
  • Overall ownership of implementation of key Eaton Aerospace Supply Chain initiatives through site execution, ensuring alignment with documented site processes and sustainability.
  • Foster an environment of engagement and inclusion and act with trust, empowerment, advocacy, empathy, and accountability with an emphasis on growth and development of direct reports.
  • Ensures required and / or system transactions are executed to meet customer, procurement system, documentation inventory accuracy and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assures policies, procedures and other documentation are followed to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality (CONC), cost (SAVMAT/ECOMAT - DOH) and delivery performance (COTD).
  • Champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive a zero-incident safety culture.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Operations/ Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance or Project Management
  • 10+ years' experience working in business, operations and supply chain management.
  • Experience developing & leading teams.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 70 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of negotiating long term complex supplier agreements.
  • MBA or Master's of Science
  • Thorough understanding of MRP functionality.
  • Maintaining FARS, DFARS compliance as related to purchasing.
